JUDGET PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy takes effect on 4 March 2019 and is in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) of the European Union. In this privacy policy, we describe what information we collect from you, on what basis we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have to control it.
This policy applies to anyone who uses our website www.judget.com ("Site") and our mobile application ("Judget App"). The Judget website does not collect any personally identifiable data on visitors and is, in the time being, for promotional purposes only. The main provisions of this Privacy Policy therefore apply to your use of the Judget App.
"We", Judget Ltd, are a limited liability company registered at 13 Ramsgate Street, London, England, E8 2FD. For the purposes of this privacy policy we act as “the data controller” as defined by the GDPR.
The present privacy policy serves as a binding legal agreement between you and us regarding the collection and use of the information and data we collect through your use of the Judget platform. Below you can find detailed explanation about the information we collect (Section I), how we may use such information (Section 2) and the control you have over the said information (Section 3).
Section I: The information you provide to us
When you use our App, you might provide us with your personal information (a), the information you have shared within the Judget app with other users (b) and your direct communications with us (c).
A. Your Personal Information
If you're a user of the Judget App and you choose to create a Judget account, you provide us with your name, your username and your email address. When you log in using Facebook or Google, we do not send them any data about you, and we only collect your log-in information on the said third party platforms. Your log-in information (i.e your e-mail address and your password) will always remain confidential, unless you share such information intentionally on your profile or any other media outside the control of the Judget Platform.
B. The information you share within the Judget Platform
Once you are logged into the Judget Platform, you may create a profile and provide us with your username, profile picture and a short bio.
Through your interaction with other users within the Judget community you may share a case. This would include the time the case has been posted, a case title, your arguments and, optionally, hashtags, a photo and/or a link related to your case. You may also vote another user’s case (either approve or disapprove) and optionally post a verdict under that case in order to explain your vote. Finally, you may upvote another user’s verdict on a third user’s case and your verdict may also be upvoted by other users.
Most of the information you share within the Judget platform is information available to all users of the Judget community. Such publicly available information is:
- Your username and the information you have shared under your profile’s bio are available to the entirety of the Judget community. Unless you display it in your profile’s bio, the e-mail address you provide us for creating your account is not publicly available information. We will never disclose your e-mail to other users of the Judget community, unless required by any applicable law or legal procedure.
- The case you have posted: The content of your case is available to all users of the Judget community. This includes your case title, your arguments, the hashtags of your case and eventually a photo or a link that you may have attached to it. The number of votes by other users, as well as their verdicts are also publicly available information under your case.
- Your votes are publicly available information. Once you vote a case, the case author will receive a notification informing them that you have either approved or disapproved their case. In addition, other users may access your vote history on your profile under “Verdicts”. However, others may only have access to previous cases you have voted and will not see any information about your position on the said cases.
- Your verdicts are also publicly available information. All Judget users may see the verdicts you have posted under a given case. This information is also displayed on your profile under the “Verdicts” tab.
- The information about your upvotes are only partially available to the users of the Judget community. If a user has upvoted a verdict, only you and the concerned user will know which verdict has been upvoted. However, throughout your experience within the Judget platform, your upvotes will be summed up and displayed on your profile. This will only reflect the number of upvotes you have received, not the information about who upvoted which verdict.
The e-mail address you provide us for creating an account is not publicly available information, unless you display your e-mail address in your profile’s bio. We will never disclose your e-mail to other users of the Judget community.
C. Direct Communications with Judget
Communications you might send to us include responses to in-App survey questions, reporting a problem, or submitting queries, concerns or comments regarding the App. These messages to us will also contain your comments about your use of the Judget app. We process this information in order to fix problems in the App. All these communications are only available to you and us and will not be disclosed to other users or any other third party.

You may, at any time, delete any data you may have created or shared within our platform. This includes your cases, verdicts as well as your profile information or account information.
Upon the deletion of your account, all public information related to your identity is deleted. And your existence from our platform is erased. Your cases or verdicts remaining in the platform are anonymized, unless you have also individually deleted them. All data you have deleted are permanently removed from the platform and is no longer available to the public. We may keep such data only available to us for our legitimate purposes and will not share the data you have deleted with anybody else.
We also keep a log of your data history within our platform for a period of ONE YEAR after your in-app deletion of such data. This is to ensure that we will be able to provide you with such data upon your request after you have deleted it, or for any other relevant legal or legitimate purpose that might involve such data. If you wish to permanently delete your data from our systems, prior to the expiry of our ONE YEAR log, you may file a Request for Permanent Deletion of your data from our systems, save any applicable legal procedure involving your data. If you wish to submit a request to delete your data permanently, you may file such request at Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από τους αυτοματισμούς αποστολέων ανεπιθύμητων μηνυμάτων. Section III: The control you have over your information and data.
You own the information you share with us. You are solely responsible and have complete discretion over the information and content you have shared within the Judget platform. While you may access, amend or delete the entirety of your account information, there are certain limitations on editing the information you have shared within the Judget platform.
A. Your Judget account information.
You may update, correct or delete your personal information at any time by logging into your account. Your personal information includes your name, username, e-mail, profile picture and bio.
Your account information only includes your username, e-mail and password. You may edit (a) or delete (c) your account information at any time and each of these actions will bear different consequences.
a. Editing your account information
You are free, at any time, to amend and edit your personal information. This includes your name, e-mail, username as well as your bio or Profile picture. Once you edit such information, the previous information displayed will be permanently amended and the new information you have entered will henceforth be displayed in the Judget platform.
b. Deletion of your account.
If you choose to delete your account, then all your profile information will be permanently removed from public visibility on the Judget platform. If you change your mind, we may not restore your account information and you will be required to create a new account within Judget.
Once you delete your account, the cases and verdicts you have posted prior to the deletion of your account will however remain in the platform as “anonymous”. If you wish to delete your posts permanently, you must individually delete your cases and verdicts from the platform before you delete your account.
B. The content you have shared within Judget.
As detailed in Section I, all content you share and create within the Judget platform is publicly available to the entire Judget community. You own the content you share and are solely responsible for it. This is why you have complete control over such content.
a. The cases you have shared
Judget is about sharing daily issues and injustices in order to summon the opinion and position of the users of the Judget community. For these purposes, you may share a case including the facts, your arguments, a case title, hashtags and a photo or a link to support your case.
Just as you are about to post your case by “pressing for justice” you are reminded that you may no longer edit the case you are about to post. All cases posted in the Courtroom are indeed final.
The reason why we do not allow our users to edit their case is to ensure a fair and equitable social trial. Once you have submitted your case, other users may access, vote and post their verdict on it. Allowing you to modify the content of the case will compromise the validity of other users’ input on your case, which in turn will jeopardize the proper functioning of our Courtroom.
You may however delete your case at any time. The deletion of your case results on the subsequent deletion of all votes and verdicts that have been posted to it. Your case will permanently be deleted from public visibility within the Judget Platform.
We do however keep a log history of your activity for a period of ONE YEAR after deletion of any content for legal or legitimate purposes. But the content of your deleted data will never be publicly revealed, unless required by an applicable legal procedure.
b. Your votes, verdicts and upvotes
Through your interaction within the Judget platform you may vote on other uses’ cases by either approving or disapproving their case. You may also explain and support your position by posting a verdict.
While you may, at any time, change your vote, you are prohibited to edit your verdict. The reason behind this prohibition is in order to ensure a fair collection of upvotes. Once you post a verdict, you may collect upvotes, which in turn will be displayed on your profile. Allowing you to edit your verdict risks compromising the legitimacy of your upvotes. Therefore, if you wish to edit your verdict, you will have to delete and re-post your amended verdict.
You may, at any time delete a verdict you have posted. Verdicts that have been deleted will be permanently removed from public visibility within the Judget Platform.
Please note that we do however keep a log history of your activity for a period of ONE YEAR after deletion of any content for legal or legitimate purposes. But the content of your deleted data will never be publicly revealed, unless required by an applicable legal procedure. Unless there is a legal requirement, you may also file a request to delete your data from our systems through that period of ONE YEAR. If you wish to submit a request to delete your data, you may file a deletion request at Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από τους αυτοματισμούς αποστολέων ανεπιθύμητων μηνυμάτων. Χρειάζεται να ενεργοποιήσετε τη JavaScript για να μπορέσετε να τη δείτε..
As noted above in Section III.A.b, please remember that once you delete your account, the cases and verdicts you have posted prior to the deletion of your account will remain in the platform as “anonymous”. If you wish to delete your posts permanently, you must individually delete your cases and verdicts from the platform before you delete your account
Finally, please note that if you have shared the content of your case or verdict anywhere outside of the Judget Platform, we cannot control the privacy of such data and therefore do not bear any responsibility over it.
For any additional information or any clarification, you might need regarding our privacy policy, please do not hesitate contacting us at Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από τους αυτοματισμούς αποστολέων ανεπιθύμητων μηνυμάτων.
